Stone crusher applies in Chile copper,gold and silver mining processing
Chile Stone Crusher Mineral Processing introduction:
Chile is one of the most important mining companies in the world. Though it has only 16 million people, Chile attracted more than US$18 billion in mining investment from 1974 to 2003.1 Projected mining investment from 2009 to 2013 is US$30 billion.2 “Chile es un pais minero,” say Chileans: “Chile is a mining country.”
Chile is the world’s leading copper producer, with copper accounting for 56% of Chile’s $59 billion in total exports in 2006.3 But Chile is also a major producer of gold, silver, coal and iron. Mining is perhaps the principal pillar of the Chilean economy.
In sort, there is tremendous profit potential for private investors, considerable economic growth potential for Chile, and considerable potential tax revenues for the Chilean state in accelerated mineral development. The limitations on developing these resources are not availability of minerals but scarcity of water, scarcity of affordable energy, the rights of indigenous people, and the willingness of the public to tolerate the impacts of this kind of development.

Chile Escondida open-pit mining
Escondida is a conventional open-pit operation processing sulphide and oxide ores.
The mining fleet consists of nine Bucyrus 495-B Erie loading shovels fitted with 50yd³, 53yd³ and 55yd³ buckets, 24 Caterpillar 793B, 28 Komatsu 830-E and 23 Caterpillar 793C dump trucks, each of 218t capacity. Escondida uses eight Bucyrus 49-R and 49-RII electric drills plus an Ingersoll Rand DMM2 diesel drill. Bulk ammonium nitrate-fuel oil (ANFO) explosive is used for blasting.
Run-of-mine ore is hauled to two semi mobile crusher, in-pit crushers for primary reduction before being conveyed to the coarse ore stockpiles. The stripping ratio will average around 1.7:1 over the full life of the project. In-pit truck dispatching and monitoring is handled by a system from Wenco International Mining Systems, while project materials, maintenance and costing control is achieved using Mincom’s mine information management system.
Chile Mineral Ore processing
Liming Heavy Industry(shanghai) was awarded the initial contract for designing and constructing the sulphide concentrator, and later for the expansion programmes. The sulphide concentrator employs crushing, milling and flotation circuits. 12m-high, 4m-square column cells are used for cleaning the bulk sulphide concentrate. The new concentrator uses 94 Wemco 160m³ cells for rougher and cleaner flotation. The separate oxide ore plant uses solvent extraction-electrowinning technology to produce cathode copper metal directly from leached ore. Oxide ore is crushed and sized then heap leached, the dissolved copper being recovered directly by electrolysis.
Concentrate transport and handling
Copper concentrates from the Escondida mill are pumped through a 170km-long, nine-inch-diameter pipeline, constructed by PSI-JRI Ingenieria, to the coastal port of Coloso where concentrates are dewatered and dried for export. The Canadian company, Sandwell, designed the dock facilities, including a dedicated shiploader. Concentrate dewatering employs three Larox style PF and four ceramic hyperbaric filters, which reduce the moisture content to an average of 9% after arrival at the pipeline discharge. Effluent is treated before discharge deep into the Pacific Ocean.
Chile Mine Stone Crushing Process flow:
In the above Stone Crusher Flow Diagram, Mobile track-mounted crushers or stationary crushers are used in the crushing process. An excavator or wheeled loader loads the rock to be crushed into the crusher’s feed hopper. The feeder moves the rock material to the crusher.
The crusher breaks the rock into smaller grain size. The greatest crushers can crack boulders which can be about one cubic meter in proportions. The crusher is powered with a diesel engine. From your crusher, the rock material is dropped on the main conveyor that moves the finish product upwards then drops it into one big pile or to the feed hopper with the next crusher. Metal inside the rock material moving across the main conveyor could be separated using a magnet separator, which throws the metal pieces aside with the conveyor. The finer percentage of the rock material could be screened out already before it advances for the crusher. The screened material could be forwarded to the key conveyor and definately will thus find themselves in exactly the same pile since the end product, or perhaps a secondary conveyor can direct it to some separate pile.
With a few crushers, equipment attached beneath the main conveyor can screen and sort the finish product into several separate piles in line with the fraction size. The conclusion product piles are removed as required having a wheeled loader and also the material may be loaded onto trucks, as an example.
